Abstract
In the modern world, life expectancy is increasing, which means an increase in the number of elderly patients with "frailty" syndrome. This group of patients requires a special approach to treatment. Identifying the distinctive features of elderly patients in comparison with young ones will allow us to approach the treatment of these patients according to their characteristics. This study showed the difference between the elderly and senile group of patients in comparison with the average age. The material is the history of diseases of patients in 2018 who were treated in the surgical Department No. 1 of the St. Luke of Crimea Stary Oskol district hospital. Statistical analysis of medical history data was performed.

Abstract
The problem of early diagnosis of non-specific purulent diseases of the spine remains relevant. The main organizational problems in providing medical care to these patients are considered to be late diagnosis, late administration of antibacterial therapy and neurosurgical care. The goal of our work was to improve treatment outcomes by reducing the time of diagnosis and the duration of the stage before providing specialized care. Based on the identified variable factors that influenced the treatment outcomes, we proposed an algorithm for the diagnosis and treatment of non-specific purulent diseases of the spine, implemented in the activities of hospitals in the Sverdlovsk region. To evaluate the effectiveness of our proposed algorithm, we retrospectively compared the main indicators and results of the treatment of patients conducted before and after the implementation of the developed algorithm. Educational and methodological work with doctors was also important for reducing the time of diagnosis of the disease. After the implementation of the developed algorithm of diagnostics and tactics in nonspecific suppurative diseases of the spine and the necessary organizational issues, there was a reduction of the duration from the first signs of the disease to provide specialized assistance, as well as the number of patients who had gross neurological deficit and/or systemic inflammatory response syndrome upon admission to a hospital. The results obtained allow us to recommend the developed algorithm of diagnostics and tactics for non-specific purulent diseases of the spine for implementation in other regions of the Russian Federation.

Abstract
This article is devoted to the development of surgical complications in patients treated for a new coronavirus infection COVID-19 in a stationary setting in the Kursk region. The article analyzes the material obtained in the course of a retrospective analysis of case histories of patients who received medical care in inpatient conditions. Abstract
This article compares the results of surgical intervention for thrombosis and embolism of peripheral arteries. The data are presented on the basis of objective criteria using the Rutherford scale to assess the immediate results of endovascular operations and parameters of the quality of life of patients as a result of a survey conducted using the MOS SF-36 system. The conclusions obtained in the course of the study indicate that acute occlusion that occurs in chronic arterial insufficiency as a result of damage to the arterial bed can be reliably and radically eliminated only by reconstructive surgery. Moreover, the nature of the operation and its volume are determined on the basis of special research methods.

Abstract
The article presents the results of studying hematological tests of small laboratory animals after exposure to broadband electromagnetic radiation. To achieve this goal, three study groups were formed, each of which included 10 male mice. After exposure, the parameters of the quantitative analysis of leukocytes, leukocyte formula and leukocyte indices of the control, experimental and intact groups were compared. The statistical significance of the revealed differences was determined using the Mann-Whitney test. As a result of the study, when determining the total concentration of leukocytes, statistically significant differences were revealed between the experimental and intact groups, the control and intact groups. During the analysis of the data of the leukocyte formula, no statistically significant differences were revealed, however, in the experimental group, atypical forms of leukocytes with myelodysplasia were revealed. When studying the data of a biochemical blood test and calculating leukocyte indices, no significant differences between the study groups were also revealed.
