Abstract
The problem of discrimination of mentally ill people, its causes and consequences are analyzed in the article. The stereotypes about mentally ill people and various problems they face in the modern world are in the center of the author’s attention. As a result of the study it was revealed that due to low awareness, as well as under the influence of social moralism, culture, media and films, society has developed negative stereotypes about people with mental disorders
